From a humble beginning in 1975 in a side room of his bar/restaurant, Ed Bishop, along with his wife Carol, restored their first aircraft- A vintage bi-plane – A Stampe SV4. From there Bishop Air Service was “off the ground.”
Over the years Bishop expanded into the ag aviation world, followed by many antique, classic and acrobatic restorations. Because of this his path crossed with some of the aviation greats such as Art Scholl, Richard Branson, Gene Soucy, Kermit Weeks and more.
His son, David E. Bishop was raised in the aviation climate and continues the family tradition at his Southern Indiana workshop.
